Nikki Lamborn not only had a powerful singing voice reminiscent of Janis Joplin (and fronted her own band at that time in Bristol) but she was the hairstylist for the show, working to recreate Vivian's original designs for the cast members. Looking at her hair in this photo, I think I can safely say she refused to have her own done to Vivian's specifications. She had a number of great songs in the show, but was perhaps encumbered with the most unflattering costume and perhaps the most bizarre. That's a ring of cat tails around her neck, topped with a frothy confection of individual cat toes complete with extended claw.
